Just
a few short years after the town of Eminence had been founded
on the high point along the Louisville and Frankfort Railroad,
the first bank in Henry County was established here. In
a sense, Eminence and The Farmers Deposit Bank have grown
up together.
This growing up process for our bank has not been a simple story. It has involved
the determination, loyalty, imagination and teamwork of customers, friends, fellow
citizens, stockholders, officers and employees throughout the bank’s 100 years.
The problems of the past, however, merely set the challenge of the future.
The financial and banking problems in tomorrow’s age of faster production, transportation,
communication, and obsolescence will be met as always by men of insight and imagination.
Such men and women are at work now, as always at Farmers Deposit Bank.
We are proud of our heritage. Yet we accept the challenge of the future. Mindful
of our customer’s wish for continued strength and prudence in all of our banking
activities, we look with confidence to the future as a time for growth, progress
and creativeness as a corporate citizen. |
